The stampede that followed in Mumbai’s prime location was uncontrolled. The group of people were collectively running to find an escape route. Unluckily, there were no proper means of escape and the fire was ravaging. It turned out on a horrible day for the people who went to enjoy there.
What happened in Kamala mill compound was an act of negligence One cannot deny that absence of fire retardant building, flouting of fire safety norms and ignorance about evacuation techniques made the situation worse. According to some reports, huge piles of flammable cotton and alcohol fanned the fire. Approximately, 14 lives lost on December 2017 because of the negligence of some reclusive builder.
